What day of the week is best for doing a seminar?

This is a tough question and I would love your feedback. I have set up a very brief survey on Survey Monkey – all you need to do is tick a box as either an employee or as a business owner. I really appreciate your help. If you have specific comments you can leave them on this blog.

Old media versus new media – and the power of combining the two.

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

Here is a very clear  presentation that looks at how the older forms of media (or traditional media as a more appropriate term) stacks up when compared to new media, which is predominantly social media. The most interesting aspect of this is the integration of both. Some excellent You Tube examples and twitter examples in here. Well worth taking a few minutes to watch (and then tweet it, put it on Facebook etc etc etc).

National Speakers Association Australia – PERTH

Well last night I had the honour of doing a presentation covering the hot topics for many professional speakers – “How to get published and sell lots of books”. Always a lively topic for debate, last night was no different.

My presentation was followed by a publishing panel where we discussed a range of topics from choosing the right title and cover design to the value of writing your own e-books.

I would like to say a big thank you to Jason Fox for roping me in to do the presentation and to everyone who attended – your feedback was really very nice and I have already had emails from 15 of you.

So there is nothing stopping you now. It is time to get published and sell lots of books.

Cheers,
Andrew

Improve your presentation skills…

Here is a Slideshare presentation by Carmine Gallo who has written a book about Steve Jobs presentation skills. He is considered by many to be one of the best presenters out there at the moment and I agree. The purpose of a presentation is to transfer information to an audience and get them to take action. It sounds so simple yet so many people get it so wrong.
