I get a lot of compliments about my presentations, mainly because I use big images, minimal text and a sense of humour. The following presentation is a good one to show the basic principles that I follow and it will give both novices and more importantly experts, some very clear advice on what makes a great presentation. This form of communication is becoming more relevant every day – so if you want to be good at it, taking the time to research how other people present is time very well spent. I continually trawl through the website Slideshare.com for ideas. There are literally tens of thousands of presentations on every topic imaginable.

I Hate Powerpoints
I did a Trojan presentation over 10 years ago now and that is exactly what they were preaching back then. 5-7 slides, minimal text, no gimmicks and comics etc. You do the talking and entertain them. The presentation was the guide but you are the show.
