“Women of Hope”

Spend any time at all on my BLOG and you will see that I am a big fan of TED.com. Here is very powerful song and visual salute to the women of the world, recorded and filmed at a TED event in New York in November. Inspired by Aung San Suu Kyi’s call to action, “If you’re feeling helpless, help someone,” was written and sung by up and coming musician “Morley”. She sings this powerful song at TEDxWomen in her deep and soulful voice.

Morely is a New York based singer/songwriter receiving incredible recognition and acclaim. Check out her website here – MORLEY.

“Morley embodies modern-day NY femininity in all its multicultural finesse.”
(New York Times, Emerging Artist of the Year)

-Bill Bragin

“Morley creates modern soul music – cerebral lyrics, sultry grooves and vocal sophistication.”
-Elle

“Morley is one of the outstanding voices of her generation, as a singer, songwriter and bandleader she’s in a class of her own, transcends all categories and is making a major contribution to contemporary music.”
-David Amram

“The music of Morley… love, kindness and hope at every bend.”
-Daniel Lanois
