The Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal is kicking off again in the coming weeks – and there has never been so much need to support them. I am a big fan of the Salvation Army, they played a big role in my life when I was a kid. The following article shows the different ways that you can help the Salvo’s – this was done by Shelley Evans-Wild, the Cairns coordinator for the Red Shield Door Knock and collection. Most places will have their own “Shelley”, so why not make a call and see what you can do to support the Salvos. And if you are out and about and you see someone collecting at a booth, or someone comes to your home, give what you can afford and thank them for their efforts.
