Bosses who behave badly…….BEWARE

The young lady featured in this presentation decided to quit and tell her boss exactly what she thought of him. Well I think that badly behaving bosses, and lets be honest there are plenty of them, need to well and truly WARNED that treating people badly will not be something that can be hidden behind boardroom doors any more.

There really is no excuse for it and I think we need to see a few similar stories online. Perhaps the team at David Jones could learn from this example of the power of social media.

Well this is a good title that clearly got my attention. So I had a closer look, albeit with some trepidation and realised that there is some very good advice here for all would be bloggers and even a few long timers like myself. This is well worth spending a few minutes reviewing if you do anything at all in the blog space.

Old media versus new media – and the power of combining the two.

Here is a very clear  presentation that looks at how the older forms of media (or traditional media as a more appropriate term) stacks up when compared to new media, which is predominantly social media. The most interesting aspect of this is the integration of both. Some excellent You Tube examples and twitter examples in here. Well worth taking a few minutes to watch (and then tweet it, put it on Facebook etc etc etc).

This is an interesting take on the modern world and the fact that we no longer get to think for more than a few seconds about pretty much any topic. Of course it all leads to an advertisement to buy a book, which I think is pretty clever in its own right. So perhaps you can come up with a clever idea, make a great presentation and get it distributed by people like around the world, all for free. Go for it.
