What can we learn from the Rolling Stones?

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

This is a doozy. The concepts of reinvention, staying relevant, evolution and so much more are all covered here. Who would have thought we could learn so much from the Rolling Stones?

I am posting a lot of very good presentations created by Social Media experts these days. The reason is that I see a HUGE number of business owners really struggling to get their heads around the world of social media, and they need to. Here is one of the best – from Rob van Alphen. It really is worth grabbing a cup of coffee and taking the time to flick through these slides. You will come out the other end with a very clear understanding of the Social Media landscape and why it is vitally important that any business owner learn to market themselves and their business in this landscape.

A compelling rationale for using Social Media in any business.

A Twitter Tutorial…

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

If you still need convincing about Social Media…

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

I find it interesting that there is still so much cynicism regarding social media. You can’t mention Twitter at a conference without a low rumble in the audience, generally being negative comments about twitter and other social media networks. I can’t help but be reminded about the IBM famous saying a few years back that there “will only ever be a need for 4 home based computers in the world”. Oooooops. Realistically, social media really is here to stay, for those in business we simply need to figure out how to use it. This presentation really provides a very clear way to get your head around the way social media works and the growing significance of this media.
