Make change a positive part of your life.

Monday, June 16th, 2008

I came across the following recently and I strongly believe and support the concept of embracing change, in every part of our lives. Sometimes it is a little uncomfortable, but it is here to stay. Just as we have all had to learn how to use mobile phones (and SMS), and go online and programme a VCR (OK, OK DVD), changes are coming every minute of every day and they will continue to keep coming. I think this is particularly relevant in the world of business – everything is changing. Our customers, our products, our services, technology etc.

Resistance is futile and embracing is powerful. Good luck. AG

Make Change A Positive Part of Your Life

You must avoid breaking when things don’t go your way.
You’ll always be secure to the degree that you accept change.
True security comes from being able to bend your insecurities.

Recognize and accept that change will inevitably take place.
You’ll become secure, not by standing still, but by growing,
moving, and staying energized.
Be secure in the knowledge that you can deal with anything
that happens to you.

Have the courage to bet on your ideas.
Take some calculated risks and act on your dreams.
There is no permanent security on this earth, there is only opportunity.

Success depends on using not opposing

Monday, June 9th, 2008

The world is primarily constituted on the basis of harmony.
Everything works in cooperation with something else.

Personal relationships are the fertile soil
from which all advancement, all success,
all achievement in real life grows.

Put yourself in another’s place.
Only then will you know why they think and do certain things.
Once you understand how quickly people will grant your requests
when those requests appeal to their self interest,
you can have practically anything you go after.

It’s through cooperation not conflict,
that you’ll achieve your greatest success.

Successful people make decisions

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

To control the outcome of anything,
you control the action at the point of decision making.
If you let others make decisions for you, you give up control.
When you control the decisions, you control the actions.

It’s your life. You decide what you’re going to do with it.
If you don’t run your own life, someone else will.
You’re in control of your life to the degree that you make decisions.

Take charge of your life, so there is no longer a need to ask
permission of others.
When you ask permission, you are giving someone veto power
over your life.

Take control and start making those decisions.
Only you are responsible for your life.

The power to hold on in spite of everything, to endure,
this is the quality of a winner.
Your greatest glory is not in never failing,
but in rising every time you fail.

It’s your constant and determined effort
that will eventually break down all resistance
and sweep all the barriers before you.
Persistence means taking pains to overcome every obstacle,
to do all that’s necessary to reach your goal.

All great achievements require time.
Endurance is the crowning quality of success.

Overcome fear with action

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

One of the greatest surprises you’ll experience,
is when you discover that you can do
what you were afraid you couldn’t do.

Your obstacles will melt away,
if instead of cowering before them,
you make up your mind to walk boldly through them.

Do the thing you fear and fear disappears.
Confront your fears, list them, get to know them
and only then will you be able to put them aside
and move ahead.

When you face the things that scare you,
you open the door to freedom.

The only thing you have to fear, is fear itself.
