Late last night I happened to be watching some inspirational television, Miami Ink – for anyone who doesn’t know the show it is about a Tatoo Parlor in, you guessed it – Miami. I was interested to see a man getting a tatoo of his son who was killed in a freak accident a few years back. Clearly he was very emotional, but he said something which I think needs to be shared. He said -
“We all have hard things thrown our way in life, it’s up to us to either get bitter or get better.”
Powerful words. How many of us get better when faced with adversity? Or even more importantly how many of us get bitter? We really do have the choice and this applies to every challenge that comes our way.
Who would have thought a tatoo show would have provided such exceptional words of wisdom? Inspiration is everywhere if you choose to look.

Hi Andrew, I saw you speak at the flying solo seminar on Wednesday. Your story has inspired me. When I think life is a bitch, I usually look around and see that there are far worse situaltions, sometimes tho’ I need reminding. I think your story is amazing, and I congratulate you, and will be buying a few of your books. Thankyou

Thanks Linda – I really appreciate your very kind words. I had a blast at the Flying Solo LIVE event and I met some sensational people. And don’t worry – we all need reminding that our life is not as bad as it could be every once in a while.
