Yep, it’s that time again, my fourteenth book is in the publishing stages and I couldn’t be happier with it. I think the timing of this book is really good, as people move from the hustle and grind model, with the constant start up battle cry of scale, scale and scale, to a more sustainable model, where you build the business you want and deserve, not the business you think others expect you to build.
The premise of my new book is that “Someone has to be the most expensive, why not make it you? But if you’re going to be the most expensive, you need to be the best”. For many people their only strategy is to compete on price, and I have no doubt that being the cheapest is a terrible strategy. Look at how many “cheapest” businesses have gone bust in the past three months, simply because they have no fat, no reserves, a fickle client base and so much more. But I’ll save those rambles for my new book.
The bottom line is that this is a book for people who feel that they simply don’t charge enough for what they do? They are sick and tired of never having any money in the bank, no matter how hard they work. And their current business model just isn’t cutting it any more.
A big realisation for me in writing this book is my own positioning. I’ve realised that what I want to do is to work with people of substance to help them build businesses of substance. Simple as that.
Now, a question I get asked a lot – who does my publishing? Who are the team members that I work with? So here you go –
My custom publishing company – Publish Central. Michael, Anna and Archie are simply the best.
My cover designer – Julia Kuris – an absolute pro and a delight to work with.
My author photographer – Jason Malouin – who needs no accolades because he is flaming awesome.
My book showreel star – Mel Hird – how cool is she?
So that’s my team.
Cheers,
Andrew
