OMG, my new website has gone live and I love it!

Well my new website has gone live. It has been a big project (to say the least) and everyone involved certainly has the look of the walking dead. Long hours, a very complex site and of course, I set the bar exceptionally high.  I didn’t just want a new website, I wanted an extraordinary website that enhanced my credibility by leveraging what I have done, who I work with and the services I offer. I would love to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in the process – because believe me, I could never have achieved this result on my own.

So whom exactly are the people behind this production:

The one and only Sarah Powell, who project managed the website development. Sarah is my source of constant irreverent humour from the wilds of South Australia. Thank you so much for making this project happen Sarah.

My web developers – Precedence – sorry for driving you so hard folks, but wow, the end result is extraordinary and I just love it. Thanks Nicky and Kaj – and the entire team, we got there!

Website – PRECEDENCE.

Melbourne Video did the Crossroads video – which I think is beautifully shot and edited – the feedback for this micro documentary has been humbling on every level. Thanks Adrian, Mark and  David – we survived the worst day in the history of St Kilda Beach – and yes it is moody, but I am still thawing out after that damn shoot.

Website – MELBOURNE VIDEO

My wonderful graphic designer – Leticia Moran – you did a great job of setting the scene with my logo and brand refresh – I love it.

Email address – leticia@lmcreative.com.au

Now there are a lot of photos on the site – from all over the place. Thanks to Brad Newton, Gregg Maxwell, KPI (Entrevo) and probably a pile more people.

Last but not least, to the wonderful people who helped to test the site, point out my spelling and grammar challenges – you are wonderful:

Debra Lawson (and Lala)

Lucinda Lions

Trena-Louise Lyons

David Jennyns

Daniel Priestly

Troy Haines

Darren Finkelstein

Geoff Anderson

Tracy Angwin

Leticia Moran

And anyone else I may have forgotten in the euphoria of the website launch (thank you and I am sorry).

OK time to start planning my next website right? Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh – zombie apocalypse.

Cheers,

Andrew

  1. Andrew your new website is killer! The effort has well and truly paid off, it looks fantastic and is very enjoyable to peruse! Congrats to all involved!

  2. Thanks Angela – that is really nice of you to say. I really appreciate you taking the time to drop me a note. Cheers – Andrew

  3. Congratulations to you and your team, Andrew. What an outstanding effort and what an amazing outcome! Just out of interest, would Lala be interested in doing some freelance work for me? L x
P.S. Thank you for the thank you. You’re of course very welcome! 🙂

  4. Thank you so much Lucinda – and I really appreciate your eye for detail, your words of wisdom and your exceptional editing expertise. Now you can take the rest of the week off (big aren’t I?) XX

This has been one of most extraordinary websites we have ever worked on at Precedence, thank you so much for the opportunity Andrew. It makes such a difference to work with people who are crazy passionate about what they do. A massive bonus to also have a splendid brand to play with, thanks Leticia, and a well wicked (in a good way) project manager in Sarah who kept amazing control of the wildly moving website target. An epic project, can’t wait to crack open the Champagne this arvo!

  6. Thanks Nicky (and the entire team). Yep, it takes a big vision, great branding and just the right amount of crazy to make something this big and bold happen. Wish I could join you this afternoon for a champagne – please let everyone know the site is extraordinary – and so much feedback pouring in that I am a little overwhelmed…………OK, I’m good now. Awesome project, we got there! Sarah Powell (AKA the White Ninja) take a bow………….Cheers folks – AG

  7. Its a great feeling to finally see such a great project finished. It has been a long and arduous journey but worth every bit of work. Congratulations Andrew on your great taste in design and designers. 😉

  8. Joyce Mar says:

It was (and still is!) an absolute pleasure working on your website, Andrew! It’s rare to be able to work on something so big and complex, yet still have a fun and cheeky level of humour to it. My personal favourite item is the bobble head (coded by Nathan). 🙂

  9. Andrew & Sarah — the Precedence team absolutely loved working on this website! The project was challenging (in a good way!) and your vision kept everyone excited to leap over that high bar of expectation. We’re immensely proud of the result and very happy to be part of your team.

  10. Congratulations! It was certainly a mammoth site with a fine amount of thought and detail. Be sure to occasionally stop by my personal favourite section: http://www.andrewgriffiths.com.au/#superpowers If you get just the right angle, you might win a prize!

  11. Thanks Precedence (not sure what the collective noun is for a group of Precedencers). So much that I love about the site – but I must say the “Bobblehead Andrew” is proving to be the most popular – with certain moves getting names and descriptions that are funny. You really did go above and beyond the call of duty, I think we can officially say that this is a site we can all be very proud of. Now to get an Oscar, trash a hotel room and enjoy the rockstar life!!!

  12. Sarah Powell says:

I’ve been collating blog responses into a spreadsheet, have just finished adding a required action, prioritising by strategic impact and assigning follow-up to individual team members. I’ll cross reference that with the last round of review notes then pop it into a Gantt chart and email it to you. KIDDING. Or am I?

A great big public thank you to all the team at Precedence for bending over backwards to build this monster. I have no doubt that you’re laughing nervously at the opening line of this post, because you know me well enough to be worried that it could actually be true.

Andrew – I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside you on a project like this. I am humbled by the nice things you’ve said and so proud of the feedback we have received.

This project has had just the right amount of work (which felt like ‘play’); fleeting moments of panic (to keep us on our toes); stress (because people who work in their pyjamas from the waist down can’t have it all their own way); random swearwords (because they’re funny, especially when shouted at inanimate objects); novelty oversized glasses (mad if you don’t carry these on you at all times); and Ninja wisdom (one can’t survive on coffee alone).

Throughout this project on several occasions, I found myself shaking my head and saying “how cool is my job?!” and then my novelty oversized glasses would fall off, so I would have to stop.

There’s no telling how we up the ante from here, but if I know one thing for sure, it’s that you will 🙂

  13. I could hear a few hearts seizing up at the Precedence office when they started reading that comment. Too funny (and lovingly cruel I might add).

Great comments Sarah – and one thing I’m absolutely certain of, those giant sunnies are the key to success on any complex, long, boundary pushing project – keep them close! Perhaps next time we issue a pair to everyone involved – and we can have “giant sunny” time out on a daily basis?

  14. Dalls says:

Looks amazing Andrew – inspired design and great implementation! Well done Sarah, Nicky and Kaj!

  15. Thanks Dallas – you of all people know how much time and effort goes into making a site like this. It is a production to say the least. I am very happy with the end result. Cheers – Andrew

  16. Trena-Louise Lyons says:

Congratulations on the great new website Andrew.

Please let me know where I can purchase my very own Andrew Griffiths ‘bobble head’ superpowers figure.

May your writing, speaking, coaching and general fun-stuff career continue to soar up, up and away.

  17. Well funny you should ask that Ms Trena-Louise Lyons. I have a Bobble Head dealer………could be the start of my merchandise line. The first one of the conveyor belt has your name on it!

Thanks so much for everything Trena-Louise – you and Mr Lyons are so wonderfully supportive and appreciated.

    Big hug,
    Andrew

  18. Imp source says:

Thanks for every other informative website. Where else could I get that type of info written in such an ideal approach? I have a mission that I’m just now running on, and I’ve been on the glance out for such information.
