“Pay it Forward Day” was started by a friend of mine, Blake Beattie, in 2007. In a very short time it has grown to be supported by over 500,000 people in 60 countries. This year the aim is to reach 1 million people in 65 countries. Now that is impressive.
So what is “Pay it Forward Day” all about? A great question. The basic premise is that this is the day to give selflessly, perhaps pay for someone elses coffee, let someone else have your spot in line, help someone in need or just do a random act of kindness.
Now there are plenty of cynical people out there that don’t get how powerful these selfless acts may be, but for the rest of us, it is a very good thing to do. And of course, the more you pay it forward, the more others will do the same.
The nicest thing about “Pay it Forward Day” is that it doesn’t have to be about money. You don’t have to give a pile of loot, you just have to be more considerate and caring on the 24th of April. Lets be honest, what’s the downside of this?
The big question we all need to ask, “how can I Pay it Forward this Thursday?”. For more information about Pay it Forward Day – check out the official website – CLICK HERE
